BOMA – agroforestry tree

For every 1000 trees in agroforestry (trees that produce nuts, seeds, fruits, coffee…) planted, maintained, and monitored, there are locally:
- 1 direct beneficiary
- 4,5 indirect beneficiaries
- 4 long-term jobs
A tree in our agroforestry project in Madagascar sequesters 833 kg of CO₂ over 20 years. That means that if you plant one tree you sequester as much as the emissions of 5,000 km by car.
